Sir Edward Elgar lived in Hereford between 1904 and 1911, where he composed some of his best-loved works. Follow in his footsteps through the city with a walk illustrated by brief extracts from the music composed during his Hereford years. Explore key locations in the city centre and along the scenic river as our expert guide provides context for his career, from humble origins to becoming one of Britain’s most famous and well-loved composers.⁠
