Join us this October as we celebrate Herefordshire’s pride and joy, the humble apple!

Here in Herefordshire, we are proud of our apple and cider heritage. The fantastic team at the Green Dragon Hotel has created a show-stopping dish and a delicious cocktail to showcase and celebrate the finest ingredients and local producers that Herefordshire has to offer.

Executive Head Chef, Simon Bolsover, has created the perfect seasonal plate to celebrate the apple harvest. His stunning autumnal dish showcasing Dunkertons Vintage Cider will be served from the 16th of October at The Hereford Restaurant.

Pork Cutlet with red cabbage slaw, Dunkertons Vintage Cider burnt apple puree. Served with a side of roasted onion, squash, pumpkin, and granola pork crackling.

Head Mixologist Henry Partridge has created a master cocktail showcasing another of Herefordshire’s crafts, Gin! Henry has selected to honor Herefordshire’s award-winning Penrhos Distillery by using their Apple and Elderflower Gin. This cocktail is a mix of sweet and sour with a dusting of cinnamon; you’ll want to order it twice!

The Green Dragon Hotel is also a featured location on the Apples for Autumn trail, running on the city’s loyalty app, LoyalFree. In support of the Apples for Autumn campaign, this trail showcases a selection of great businesses in the city center with a tie to the apple.
